About me
Hey there & welcome to my blog! My name is Angela & I'm a broiler flock advisor for a large scale poultry production company in south Georgia. Basically this means I am responsible for making sure growers are following the guidelines our company makes. I'm currently responsible for about fifteen different farms. I play a bit of an auditor/mentor role.
I spent a year in Iowa as a turkey brooding supervisor. As a brooding supervisor I received between 50,000-55,000 baby turkeys (poults) every 2 weeks from an outside supplier hatchery. On my farm I had 3 barns (or houses), each one held 55,000 birds and I usually had 2 barns full at all times. This meant I was usually responsible for over 100,000 animals at any one time! Talk about a lot of responsibility!
I graduated from The University of Georgia in 2011 with a degree in Poultry Science.
